RMIT will return from the mid-season bye to take on Yarra Old Grammarians in Round 9 at Doncaster Reserve on Saturday.
Following a spirited defeat against ladder-leaders South Melbourne Districts, the Reserves will be chasing their second win of the season against the Grammarians from 12.30. In their first meeting back in Round 5 at Bundoora Oval, the Redbacks kicked their first ever goal through Nicole Lane and led until early in the final quarter whereupon a pair of Yarra goals snatched victory.
South Gippsland player Amelia Risley, cousin of Redback ruck Sara, enters the Round 9 side after being named on the interchange while speedy forward Tori Quilligan is expected to return to the field for the first time since Round 5.
Following her revelatory turn as an intercept defender in the second half against South Melbourne, Kristy McClaer will start at centre half-back.
