Academy confirms two teams for inaugural season

RMIT WFA are delighted to announce they are fielding two teams in the VAFA for the 2019 season.

President Sally Tanner confirmed this week that the increasing player numbers have reached a point, where the Academy will be able to field two teams.

As Sally states, “the response from the community and RMIT students has been amazing. We are continuing to see players join the Academy and know that we have more coming in the next few weeks. The feedback from the players is that they love the positive and supportive culture and that the level of coaching resources will result in them improving their game. The Club has a wide range of football experience from players who are new to the game all the way through to experienced players. The creation of two teams will benefit all players as we can ensure that players are selected in a team that reflects their experience. We are still taking players into the squad, so we continue to welcome any interested players.”
